How to be a Pilot

Step 1: Entry Requirements
- Minimum of 17 years old
- High school graduate qualification which requires five credits – English, Mathematics, Science & 2 other subjects
- Pass Class 1 Medical
Step 2: Procedures & Course Duration
- Private Pilot Licence (PPL) is the most suitable option if you wish to fly for your personal needs and pleasure.
- Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR) allows you to gain commercial experience in single and multi-engine aircrafts.
- Completion of training within 12 – 18 months.
Step 3: Apply for a Job
- With your CPL/IR, you can apply to the airlines, general aviation, or flight instructor.
Step 4: Great job! You’re a pilot!
- Congratulations on completing your course and securing your first job.
